Police arrest wind-farm protesters in Kalaeloa and Kahuku

Kahuku residents and their supporters gathered in Kalaeloa to protest and attempt to halt the transport of two semi-trucks carrying turbine pieces on Sunday evening. Over 25 people were arrested, including an 18-year-old male who was chained by his neck to the gate of the facility where the parts for turbine were hauled from. Turbine opponents, bound with duct tape and zip ties, sang the Kahuku alma mater before geting arrested.

HPD officers gathered this morning at the intersection of Hanua and Malakole streets before they started making arrests.
