Hae-ri and Hwa-sook find the missing background information on Captain Kim Woo-gi and his life insurance plan. Dal-gun finds and confronts Kim Woo-gi’s suspected accomplice. The NIS follow Kim Woo-gi’s suspected accomplice.

Hyun Ji receives a phone call suspected to be from her mother. She asks Jenny Jang to investigate and trace the caller. Meanwhile, Ye Nam plans a television appearance regarding Jenny Jang’s possible connection with the murder of Jogwang Group’s CEO. A big trap awaits Ye Nam at the broadcasting station.

Yeo Ok and Jung Hyuk have a meaningful conversation about Jenny Jang’s involvement in the incident. Meanwhile, Ye Nam visits Jogwang Group’s Chairman Choi and proposes to support him as the new chairman of Deo instead.

To prove Kang-jae’s innocence, Jeong-ae tries to hire an attorney, even if she must sell all of her assets to do so. Yu-ra visits Kang-jae while he awaits his trial in the holding cell.
Episode 18

Jeong-ae ends up selling her house to receive the money she needs to pay the prosecution. Se-ryung and Hyun-sook rejoice, saying Jeong-ae should remarry now. Yu-ra asks Dong-joon to cash out all of her stocks.
