As a longtime University of Hawaii Warriors football fan and supporter, it was very heartbreaking to see our team get crushed 52-20 on the road in Seattle (“No. 23 Washington scores early and often in win over Hawaii,” Star-Advertiser, Sept. 15).
Many would disagree with me, but if it was a home game at Aloha Stadium, the score would have been a lot closer and just maybe an upset of the 23rd-ranked Huskies.
I haven’t given up on our 2019 Warriors football team and still feel they are capable of winning this year’s Mountain West Conference Divisional title. With our very good offensive line and two awesome quarterbacks (Cole McDonald and Chevan Cordeiro), they will continue to light up the scoreboard with head coach Nick Rolovich’s run-and-shoot offense. Despite giving away a lot of points, I still believe we do have a good Warriors football defensive unit.
