Quarterback Kyler Dicion hit Kai Hoekstra for three scores and Storm Quilinderino rushed for 145 yards and two scores as the Bulldogs rallied from a halftime deficit to defeat the Mustangs.

Waialua built an 18-0 lead behind Dicion’s 48-yard TD pass to Hoekstra and 1-yard run. But Jordan Neufeldt scored three times in the second quarter to help Kalaheo to a 24-18 halftime lead.

Hoekstra added a 38-yard TD catch at the beginning of the third quarter and followed with his third TD of the night on an 8-yard catch. Kainoa Ferguson notched a field goal of 36 yards, but the Bulldogs’ Quilinderino ran 72 yards for a score and a 39-27 Waialua lead.

Waialua junior defensive back Dylan Yadao returned an interception 62 yards for a score to help extend the lead. Neufeldt finished the game with a 9-yard scoring run, his fourth TD of the night. He finished with 24 carries and 85 yards rushing.
