Second-seeded Punahou graduate Taylor Crabb and partner Jake Gibb were eliminated from the AVP Beach Volleyball Championships in Chicago on Saturday after losing to third-seeded Phil Dalhausser and Nick Lucena 21-19, 15-21, 15-11.
Crabb and Gibb’s loss moved them to the consolation bracket, where they will play for third place.

Hawaii Pacific’s Motschmann wins cross country invitational
Hawaii Pacific University cross country runner Lukas Motschmann won the men’s 5K division at the University of Hawaii’s Big Wave Invitational on Saturday at Kahuku Golf Course.
The Sharks finished second in the men’s overall team rankings with 38 points behind George Fox University’s 25.
In the women’s race, BYU won the overall team rankings with 15 points. The host Rainbow Wahine came in second with 66 points.
