Elisia Flores is succeeding her father, Eddie Flores Jr., as chief executive officer of Honolulu-based L&L Hawai‘i.
The older Flores, 72, who founded the iconic brand with Johnson Kam after purchasing the original location in 1976, will continue to co-chair the company with Kam, stepping away from day-to-day oversight. Elisia Flores, 36, who previously served as chief financial officer, also will be vice chairwoman. She joined L&L in 2014 as CFO after eight years in senior finance roles with General Electric.
L&L, which offers Hawaii-style comfort food, has nearly 200 locations throughout the U.S. and Japan, including 14 states ranging from Alaska to North Carolina. It was founded in Honolulu as L&L Dairy in 1952.
Elisia Flores earned her executive M.B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles, and her bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Southern California. She is a graduate of Punahou School.
