Round 2 of the hearings is 2:30 p.m. Sept. 10 at Mission Memorial Hearing Room.
Topics will range from whether, or for how long, to offer free rail rides at the start; to what percentage of operational costs should be covered by fares (a 30% ballpark figure is in discussion).

Little Leaguers hope for repeat
It’s time again to get fired up about the Little League World Series, with a team from Hawaii in contention. Congrats to the Central East Maui team for being West Region champs and making the bracket in Williamsport, Pa. With the team’s opening game on Friday, it’ll be striving to give Hawaii back-to-back LLWS champions, after Honolulu won the title last year.
Also: Kudos to the Honolulu girls team for making the Little League Softball World Series. The squad plays today for third place, after unexpectedly losing to Italy in Monday’s quarterfinals.
Still, great job, by all of Hawaii’s student-athletes.
