John Tokunaga urges us to support President Donald Trump to “stay free” because Trump will let us keep our money (“Trump wants to give, Democrats want to take,” Star-Advertiser, Letters, July 4).

Trump has also dramatically increased our national debt with tax breaks for the very rich and corporations, taking away money from future generations, taking away our health care (with no plan to replace it), taking away our constitutional right to vote (supporting political gerrymandering and a devious Census question), taking away our clean air, water and environment (denying human-caused global warming by promoting coal and fossil-fuel burning) — all while discrediting the Office of the President forever.

Tokunaga should read the Mueller Report, which Trump falsely claims exonerates him and found no collusion. It will shed light on this presidency that will change his view of this flawed, narcissistic, dishonest man.
