The Honolulu City Council has honored the following women for their remarkable leadership:
>> Kathryn K. Inkinen is founder and adviser of the executive search firm Inkinen & Associates, which was formed in 1992. She has served as a human resource executive for a bank and a five-star resort hotel.
>> Kathryn S. Matayoshi is senior vice president of Government Programs and Account Relationships at HMSA, which she joined in 2017. She has nearly 20 years’ experience in leading agencies under two mayors as well as four different governors. Matayoshi recently was superintendent of the state Department of Education.
>> Patricia Tam is chief executive adviser for Halekulani Corp. and has been part of the Halekulani legacy for more than 35 years. In 1993 she served as a general manager for a top hotel in Hawaii and in 2000 was appointed to vice president of Halekulani Corp.
>> Beth Whitehead is executive vice president and chief administrative officer of American Savings Bank. Prior to joining ASB in 2008, she was a deputy general counsel at First Horizon National Corp. as well as general counsel at National Commerce Financial.
