The notice reads: “In accordance with ROH-17.1. notice is hereby given for the removal of these marked crosswalk on McCully Street (both sides) is proposed to be removed on or after July 5, 2019. To provide input relating to the removal of this crosswalk marking, please contact the Department of Transportation.”
The first sentence of this notice presents everything: Someone in the office is illiterate; the city continues to pretend it is protecting pedestrians by limiting their rights and making them walk farther in order to cross a street, rather than enforcing the laws concerning motorists; it is presumably a “done deal” and this is just a pretense of honest politics.
