What better way to spend the first day of summer than on a picnic enjoying family, food, fun activities and the fresh air — plus free tours of the Mighty Mo?
At Picnic on the Pier, Friday at the Battleship Missouri Memorial, guests can go aboard America’s last battleship to learn about Mighty Mo’s place in history, take in sunset views of Pearl Harbor, listen to live music by Jeff James and, of course, partake in a picnic dinner.
Bring your own food and drinks, but note that grills and glass containers are prohibited. If you’d rather not pack a picnic basket, you can purchase food and drinks at the event from Tin Hut BBQ, Franks Burgers, the Streatz truck, Jamba Juice and a pop-up beverage tent.
There will also be Legos for children to play with throughout the evening, thanks to Hawaii Lego Users Group, as well as activities provided by the ship’s education team.
