I don’t understand the “keep-the-country-country” folks.
When Turtle Bay wants to expand or Dillingham Ranch wants to develop, there is all kinds of blowback. But when thousands of vacation rentals go up on the North Shore, no problem.
No matter that no environmental impact statement was done, or that vacation rentals are overloading outdated cesspools and polluting the beach.
No matter that vacation-rental cars clog Kamehameha Highway at all hours and stop traffic for miles on the North Shore.
No problem as long as the illegal money keeps flowing.
Let’s see the tax returns, and how much money flows to the election campaigns of the politicians.
So you have no problem if I turn my ADU into a TVU as long as I pay off the right folks?
