Hawaii’s John John Florence took down Kolohe Andino in the Margaret River Pro finals in West Australia on Monday, winning the World Surf League Championship Tour event for the second time.
Florence totaled an 18.50, averaging a 7.94 over his two waves. Andino fell short by 3.4 total points. Andino also lost to Florence in 2017 in the River Pro final.
In the women’s competition, Hawaii’s Carissa Moore lost in the semifinals to the eventual champion Lakey Peterson.
