Attention, Oahu motorists! Pop quiz: What does the term, “slower traffic keep right,” mean?
It means if you are in the left lane on the highway, and there is a line of cars backing up behind you and a lot of cars passing you in the right lane, you are the “slower traffic.”
So get out of the left lane.
I’m directing this toward you, auntie and uncle. I realize you eventually will take a left onto Lunalilo Home Road. But that is not a valid reason for going 39 mph in the left lane all the way from Kapolei to Hawaii Kai.
I’m directing this toward you, tour-bus driver on the Likelike at 6:30 a.m., going really fast downhill and really slow on the uphill sections. Get in the right lane. And stay in the right lane.
Let us folks who need to get to work get there on time and a little less stressed out from having to yell at no one in particular, “What is this guy doing?”
