This is in response to the letter from Don Clark about abortions and choice, something he will never have to concern himself with because he is male, without a uterus and unable to understand the emotional and physical effects of pregnancy on mind, body and lifestyle (“Make the right choices before getting pregnant,” Star-Advertiser, Letters, May 25).
He believes the “choice” should be made before pregnancy happens.
I agree. Men have a choice.
You don’t want a child, but want to have sex? Get a vasectomy.
It’s reversible. It’s much easier on a body than daily hormones. It’s low maintenance; no more running to the store to purchase condoms like a responsible man. Women don’t get pregnant on their own but they sure are left to themselves should an accident occur.
Rise up, men. Take responsibility. You can always have it reversed should you decide one day to procreate.
