Legalizing marijuana in Hawaii would worsen the drug scene, which already is bad enough here. Marijuana use can be a gateway drug for more dangerous drugs. It also has been linked to a higher chance of adopting a nicotine addiction.

With underage smoking and use of e-cigarettes already taking place in Hawaii, the last thing the state needs is to legalize the use of marijuana and promote more smoking by minors.

Marijuana has the possibility of affecting the lives of many children in Hawaii. Legalization would cause more harm than good.
