Police arrested Titus Sos Jr. three days after the April 12 bank robbery on an outstanding 2018 warrant for operating a vehicle without a valid driver’s license and a 2016 warrant for being a minor in possession of alcohol.

The FBI says the man captured on surveillance video robbing the American Savings Bank on Kaneohe Bay Drive earlier this month is Titus Sos Jr.

An FBI special agent says in court records that a Honolulu police officer, a childhood friend and three anonymous tipsters identified Sos as the person in a still shot from the video distributed by Honolulu CrimeStoppers.

Police arrested Sos three days after the April 12 bank robbery on an outstanding 2018 warrant for operating a vehicle without a valid driver’s license and a 2016 warrant for being a minor in possession of alcohol. The FBI says Sos’ fingerprints match those on the demand note the bank robber left behind.

Sos, 21, of Kalihi, was in U.S. District Court on Friday after federal prosecutors charged him with bank robbery. He is scheduled to return to court Wednesday. The government is asking the court to order Sos to remain in custody without the opportunity for release on bond pending further prosecution.
