Tulsi Gabbard should make the people of Hawaii, especially her voters, proud. In an interview with Bret Baier of “Special Report with Bret Baier” on Fox News, she showed that she is on a par with the top candidates of her own party for the president of the United States.

Her responses to the questions posed by the host, especially on foreign policy, make a lot of sense. She has been consistent on her non-interventionist beliefs and her respect for the autonomy of other countries. She was not strident and was very calm, focused, and modulated all through the interview, very much unlike many politicians.

It makes you wonder why this newspaper and some local politicians have not been enthusiastic about her presidential aspirations.
