It has been one full year since the Kauai representative on the Hawaii Land Use Commission resigned, and Gov. David Ige has not bothered to appoint a replacement.
This creates a hardship for the LUC in terms of establishing a quorum for meetings, and it is grossly unfair for the people of Kauai not to have representation on that body.
Does the governor just not care or is the person he designated (if anyone) to oversee boards and commissions inept, or both?
