Ala Moana Regional Park is the people’s park. The plan to make the park a “world-class” park makes no sense.
Local people and tourists come to the park to swim, exercise, picnic and play with their children on the beach. Maintenance is the key to keeping the park vibrant. The proposed donated zipline adds more liability and maintenance costs to the city and is not needed.
Let the developers donate the money to the maintenance of the park instead.
