What was anyone thinking to allow three children under the age of 10 to be in a kayak without life jackets 150 yards from shore (“Mid-Pacific fires 2 after deadly kayak accident during spring break trip,” Star-Advertiser, April 9)?
I’m very sorry for the families who lost loved ones, especially the 5-year-old. The saddest thing in the world is the loss of a child.
