Every conservative pundit says that the Mueller report proves President Donald Trump is not a Russian asset.
However, the four-page summary from Attorney General William Barr of the more than 300-page report does not say that. All we know is Mueller found no evidence of conspiracy between the Trump team and the Russians to impact the 2016 election. That does not mean the Russians don’t have leverage over Trump.
Why did Putin want Trump to win?
Why does Trump refuse to release his tax returns? (Trump has not shown any of his last 10 years of returns, nor would an audit prohibit public release.) What is Trump hiding?
The one fact we do know is that the Russians were loaning money to Trump since his bankruptcies made him a bad risk to everyone else.
Why was Trump so paranoid about this investigation, saying his finances were a red line not to be crossed?
Is money laundering the answer to these questions?
That is what Congress needs to investigate.
