Honolulu police searching for suspect who robbed man in McCully

Honolulu police are looking for an adult male suspect who allegedly robbed a man in McCully early this morning.

The robbery occurred in an area on Kapiolani Boulevard fronting the McCully Shopping Center at about 1:25 a.m.

Police said the suspect, who appeared to be holding a firearm, assaulted the victim and took his property.

The assailant and victim do not know each other.

Police said the victim sustained a chipped tooth and cut to his lower lip in the attack. He was taken to a hospital in stable condition.

The suspect fled the scene on foot. There are no arrests at this time.
