In days of yore, we were taught to accept defeat graciously and congratulate the opponent. Straight As were unexpected and unheard of, trophies for participation unknown, and agreeing to a solution to a problem and promising to abide by the results was a badge of honor.
Today, none of this applies. If we lose, obviously the other team cheated, the refs were biased, or the ball was too hard or soft. If an election is lost, undeniably there must be a vote-count discrepancy, some citizens disenfranchised, or ballot tampering.
If a document such as the Mueller report does not go as we had planned and expected, there had to be corruption, mismanagement, an improper or incomplete investigation, Russian collusion, or some law-breaking reason for the discrepancy and we must vent our outrage and never accept the results.
America has changed, and not for the better.
