Work furlough inmate arrested in Wahiawa
Police arrested today a 34-year-old missing work furlough inmate who was found in Wahiawa.
He was arrested at 11:15 a.m. on suspicion of first-degree escape and third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug.
Robert Yamaguchi failed to return to the Laumaka Work Furlough Center at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, the Department of Public Safety said.
He was not authorized to leave.
Yamaguchi is serving time for auto theft, drug charges and bail jumping.
His next parole hearing is scheduled for August.
