For the first time since 2014, the Chaminade men’s basketball team is in the NCAA Division II West Regional.
The Silverswords (23-7) earned an at-large bid and are seeded seventh in the West Region, hosted by Pacific West Conference member Point Loma, the No. 1 seed.
Chaminade will face second-seeded and Great Northwest Athletic Conference Tournament champion Seattle Pacific (21-6) on Friday at 11:30 a.m. at Golden Gymnasium in San Diego.
This is the fifth overall appearance by the Silverswords in the regional and third for head coach Eric Bovaird. It will be the first meeting between the two teams since 2016, when Chaminade defeated Seattle Pacific 87-86 at McCabe gym.
