New definition of audacity as found in the dictionary: See Kealoha lawyer.
I know that there always is a presumption of innocence until proven guilty, but with all the other nonsense going on with the Kealoha case, to read that a lawyer wants the city to use taxpayer money to pay the lawyers representing former Police Chief Louis Kealoha is just mind-blowing to me (“Kealoha lawyer seeks city funding for fees,” Star-Advertiser, March 7).
The reason: because the charges against him deal with alleged incidents that occurred while he was performing his duties as chief.
Really! Breaking the law was one of his duties as chief? Although it’s their right to put on the defense that they think is needed, it is truly sad to see all the maneuvers that the two career law enforcement professionals, a police chief and a former city prosecutor, are going through to avoid trial.
