Mayor Kirk Caldwell has asked community members to “think twice” before giving homeless handouts (“Mayor Caldwell ‘won’t give up’ on homelessness,” Star-Advertiser, March 1). He mentions that the freebies enable them to stay on the streets. Is there a difference between freebies and our HI-5 recycling program?
This government program has created an army of scavengers. Please recycle, but do so at the H-POWER plant and keep the money out of it.
