Honolulu Biennial returns to address serious issues

Artist Leland Miyano built a voyaging canoe out of branches and limbs from invasive strawberry guava and ink berry trees that were cleared from Hoomaluhia Botanical Garden and woven together. His installation at Foster Botanical Garden is part of the Honolulu Biennial 2019 art exhibition.
