Thank you for your editorial on our need to protect Oahu’s water supply from the Navy’s old Red Hill fuel tanks (“Be vigilant about Navy fuel tanks,” Star-Advertiser, Our View, March 4).
As a resident of the Moanalua Gardens community and the former president of our Moanalua Gardens Community Association, it frightens me to think that the contamination of our precious, irreplaceable water supply could result in a massive exodus.
It certainly is ironic that we must be vigilant of the shortsighted policy preference of the Department of Defense.
Please protect our people and our land, now and for future generations.
