Missing work furlough inmate turned himself in today after state sheriffs and the Honolulu Police Department sent out an alert looking for him.

Sheriffs arrested Ezekiel Gauthier, 33, just before 11:30 a.m. and processed him on an additional escape charge.

Gauthier failed to return to Oahu Community Correctional Center by 9 p.m. on Monday night. He is serving time for robbery, and is a community custody inmate in the work furlough program with pass privileges. His next parole hearing is scheduled for May.
