It truly is all about respect (“Respect others, don’t bring your dog,” Star-Advertiser, Letters, Feb. 16).
I’m 75 years old and have had a dog in the family a large part of my life. First was Spot (remember Dick and Jane?), then Taffy, Rascal, Joy, Choko, and, most recently, Eli. I’m also not done yet and am planning a trip to the Humane Society before too long.
I’ve loved every dog; however, they were dogs and not humans. My husband and I took them riding in the bed of our truck, securely tied so they could catch the breeze but not fall out. We couldn’t always take them but that was okay. They’d be doubly happy to see us when we got home.
I recently saw an adorable little dog sitting in a grocery cart in Kona licking its private parts. Yuck!
I don’t understand: Why would dog owner-lovers want to take their dogs where they’re not wanted? And just to be clear, I do not mean true service animals.
