Erik Scheive scored 15 of his 21 points in the first half and the No. 20 Chaminade men’s basketball team pulled away late in a 71-59 victory over Notre Dame de Namur on Thursday in Belmont, Calif.

Grant Dressler added 16 points for the Silverswords (13-2, 7-2 PacWest), who finished the game on a 20-8 run.

Chazz Wade finished with 21 points and 10 rebounds for the Argonauts (0-14, 0-8).

Destiny Castro scored 14 points, but the Chaminade women’s basketball team lost to Notre Dame de Namur 65-49 on Thursday in Belmont, Calif.

The Silverswords (4-9, 3-6 PacWest) shot just 32.7 percent from the field and committed 24 turnovers.

Lindsay Bates, a Konawaena graduate, and Jordan Rodriguez both scored 13 points for the Argonauts (3-9, 2-6).
