President Donald Trump says he needs to build his wall to keep criminals out. He should be reminded that we have U.S. citizens wreaking havoc, with killings and bomb threats on U.S. soil. These are not immigrants doing these criminal acts. These are people in our backyard — American citizens.
Trump says this is a national emergency. But this is not a crisis or emergency affecting human life. We are not being threatened to a point that our lives are in danger by immigrants trying to enter illegally or legally. Illegal immigrants entering the U.S. is not a national crisis.
The president is the real national emergency. He just wants to build a wall to stand good on his campaign promise and make himself look good — never mind the thousands of federal workers who are out of work.
Trump has no compassion for his fellow man or woman. But as the saying goes: What goes around comes around.
