Shame on them. Shame on us.
Our Democratic U.S. senator, Mazie Hirono, sends an insulting message to half of the U.S. population “shut up or step up.” It is no wonder our federal funding continues to diminish. Hawaii’s infrastructure is ranked among the worst in the nation — but when the U.S. Transportation Department announced $1.5 billion to support 91 different infrastructure projects in 49 states, every state was granted money except Hawaii.
Our Democratic governor, David Ige, was nowhere to be found during a false nuclear attack alert that took some 20 minutes to correct, causing statewide panic.
Our Democratic city prosecutor, Keith Kaneshiro, faces an impeachment petition and a federal investigation for failing to take action against former Police Chief Louis Kealoha and his wife for alleged bank fraud.
Hawaii’s party politics has become a game and we, the voters, are all losing. Shame on us for keeping these representatives in office.
