Gov. David Ige did what one would expect of a politician: He sat on the bill to ban cat feeding at harbors until after the election. He knew there would be backlash because of all the meetings that were well-attended by caring, educated people and animal welfare organizations who spoke up at all the hearings against the cruelty and senselessness of starving cats.
I am guessing that the governor and his cronies at the state Department of Land and Natural Resources never miss a meal.
