Gov. David Ige has reappointed leaders at three state departments, his office announced Wednesday, including the Department of Transportation, Department of Human Resources Development and Department of Taxation.

Members of Ige’s cabinet have faced uncertainty as the governor embarks on his second term and is looking to make changes. The governor is expected to make additional announcements over the next couple of weeks as to who will comprise his cabinet, said Cindy McMillan, a spokeswoman for the governor.

Those who will be staying on include Jade Butay as director of the Department of Transportation.

Linda Chu Takayama will remain as director and Damien Elefante will remain as the deputy director of the Department of Taxation.

Ige also reappointed Ryker Wada to serve as the director of the Department of Human Resources Development. Jason Minami will continue as Wada’s deputy.

Except for Minami, who is appointed by the DHRD director, all of the appointments are subject to senate confirmation.
