Police continued to search Monday for the suspect in a shooting in a rural subdivision in Kahaluu that left a 31-year-old woman with head injuries.

Police said a 41-year-old man shot his girlfriend at about 12:50 p.m. Sunday at a residence near the intersection of Waihee Place and Waihee Road. He fled the scene and was seen driving a silver 2008 BMW 7-series sedan with a “Murder 187” sticker on the rear passenger window.

CrimeStoppers Honolulu identified the suspect as Bronson K. Gouveia and said he is wanted for investigation of second-degree attempted murder.

Gouveia was described as 6 feet, 1 inch tall and weighing 272 pounds.

Maui police release video of shooting

The Maui Police Department released body camera video Monday of a shooting in Wailuku over the weekend that claimed the life of wanted fugitive Kaulana B. Reinhardt, 26.

Acting Assistant Chief Clyde Holokai said a team of officers had been looking for Reinhardt since Dec. 15, when Reinhardt was involved in a first-degree attempted murder case.
