A million and a half dollars will buy a pretty nice condominium in Honolulu these days. That sum, however, was just the difference in a record price just set in the market.
Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties announced Tuesday that it represented a buyer who paid $23.5 million for one of three “grand penthouse” units at the Park Lane Ala Moana condo.
The sale topped the prior record set at $22 million last year for another Park Lane penthouse.
The recent sale was for a unit dubbed Hale Moana featuring four parking stalls, an 845-square-foot lanai and 6,273 square feet of interior living space laid out with four bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms, according to the brokerage firm.
Park Lane was completed last year with 219 units as a midrise on the makai side of Ala Moana Center, Hawaii’s largest shopping mall.
