Al Oshiro’s letter was right on (“Not everyone can afford fire sprinklers,” Star-Advertiser, Dec. 7)! He reminded us of loss of life in single-family structure fires.

There’s no outrage from the mayor. Maybe condo owners should band together and file a lawsuit against the city for discrimination against us. It isn’t just working seniors with a mortgage, like me, but young families making a condo their first home. When the city mandates sprinklers for all homes — not just condos — it will be fair.
