Sale volume and prices for homes sold on Maui last month were mostly higher, according to the Realtors Association of Maui.
The trade association recently reported that the biggest change was a 32 percent jump in the median sale price for condominiums, to $528,650 in November from $399,500 a year earlier.
That jump was in part due to fewer homes at the lower end of the market selling. The median price is a point at which half of the sales were for a higher price and half for a lower price.

The number of condo sales dipped 6 percent to 120 in November from 128 in the same month last year. This was the only major segment of the market with a decrease last month.
In Maui’s single-family home market, the number of sales edged up 4 percent to 76 last month from 73 a year earlier while the median price rose 8 percent to $740,398 from $688,000.
Sales in the report are for new and previously owned homes sold during the month, and typically reflect sales contracts signed one to three months prior.
