For holiday gifts galore and fun family activities — including a Gingerbread Workshop — check out the Mele Kalikimaka Marketplace, this weekend at Blaisdell Exhibition Hall.
“It’s a one-stop local holiday shop with something for everyone with over 150 vendors,” said Amy Hammond, event coordinator. “The event features live entertainment, food sampling, pop-up shops, Native Hawaiian arts-and-crafts, a surf sample sale and the Gingerbread Workshop benefiting Kamaaina Kids.”
The workshop allows parents to shop for gifts while their children can decorate a house, learn the history of gingerbread, gather for storytime readings of “The Gingerbread Man” and other holiday favorites, create gingerbread crafts and more.
“Santa and Rudolph will be on hand for photos,” Hammond added.
For active ones, there will also be a rock wall, archery activity and bouncers, courtesy of Kamaaina Kids.
