Thanks for choosing to include the paper-crumpling article (“This is the way paper crumbles,” Star-Advertiser, Nov. 30).

What a peculiar research topic. It was surprisingly captivating to learn about the most ordinary of phenomena in excruciating detail. Perhaps it will influence others to appreciate and examine the intricacy of everyday occurrences that are overlooked.

Curiosity benefits everyone (except the cat, I suppose), and there is beauty around us that should not be taken for granted.
