High-surf advisory issued for Niihau, leeward and windward Kauai
The National Weather Service has issued a high-surf advisory for the north and west-facing shores of Kauai and Niihau until noon today.
Moderate surf impacts are expected with waves reaching 10 to 15 feet along the north and west shores of both islands.
Beachgoers are advised to exercise caution and heed all advice from Ocean Safety officials, the advisory said.
