INSTRUCTIONS
1. Take apart the embroidery hoop.
2. Place one piece of tan felt over the inner hoop. Replace the outer hoop and tighten the screw, stretching felt taut.
3. Trim excess felt with scissors as closely as possible to the hoop edge. Save excess felt for ears.
4. Turn the hoop so the screw is centered at the top. Glue eyes onto the felt. Glue red ornament or bell in center of felt to make a nose.
5. Cut small hearts out of the red felt.
6. Glue on either side of the face for cheeks.
7. Fold white felt in half. Cut out a branchlike antler. Repeat to make four antler pieces.
8. Glue a pipe cleaner down the center of each antler to help it maintain its shape. Glue second antler piece on top, sandwiching the pipe cleaner between the layers. Repeat.
9. Glue an antler on either side of the top of the hoop.
10. Cut two leaf shapes from leftover pieces of tan felt.
11. Place a short line of glue at one end of the ear. Pinch together. Repeat. Glue the ears at the base of the antlers.
12. Tie a 36-inch length of ribbon into a double-looped bow. Glue to the bottom of the reindeer’s face.
13. Cut another 36-inch length of ribbon. Glue to the bottom of the hoop, gluing one edge of the ribbon to the back inside of the hoop. The ribbon length should hang down below the reindeer.
14. Hang the reindeer up using the screw at the top as the hanger. Use the small clothespins to clip Christmas cards to the ribbon to display.
