The Hawaii Bowl officially announced today that Louisiana Tech will be the University of Hawaii’s opponent in the Dec. 22 game.

Kickoff is 5:30 p.m. at Aloha Stadium.

It will be the first meeting between the Bulldogs (7-5) and UH (8-5) since 2011 when both were competing in the Western Athletic Conference.

This year, the Bulldogs finished tied for second in their division of Conference USA. UH tied for second in the West Division of the Mountain West Conference.

“We’re extremely proud to represent our university in the Hawaii Bowl,” UH head coach Nick Rolovich said in a prepared statement. “We’re also excited to rekindle some old WAC battles against a very talented Louisiana Tech team on Dec. 22. It could very well be one of the more exciting games of the bowl season.”
