The same tents have been seen there month after month. The city has a golden opportunity to charge a fee for camping, parking and running a business out of a van.
It’s not heartless. It’s about real life and all of us who are tired of paying taxes to take care of freeloaders who could contribute a little.
If people with their new tents are truly homeless, there is other land the city owns that could be used to house the downtrodden.
