Would a low-rise, unvarnished living-history museum at the Ala Wai Small Boat Harbor be feasible and complement the stellar Bishop Museum (“Put Hawaii first in harbor project,” Star-Advertiser, Our View, Nov. 21)? The harbor is about two miles from Waikiki and 20 miles from the museum.

Massachusetts will celebrate its quadricentennial in Plymouth in 2020, featuring an “unvarnished” display of its indigenous people (“Indigenous people will gain voice in Plymouth,” Star-Advertiser, Nov. 21).

Recently Hawaii residents celebrated Veterans Day and the 100th anniversary of the end of the Great War at the Waikiki Natatorium.
