Who will prevail in this hotel workers strike, the union or management? Strikers, are your mortgages or rent payments due? How about your electric, cable and water bill, your bank loan or the tuition for your kids in college? Is the union going to help you pay? How long can you hold out?
Times are hard and there are many people out there who are looking for jobs and would not mind having your jobs.
Remember, tourism is Hawaii’s leading economy. Will tourists find other places to go on a vacation, if the price for the hotel stay here is too high? Even the Japanese tourists will stop coming to Hawaii.
Are you willing to lose it all for a few dollars more? Think of your future and that of your children.
