Kokua Market claims that its parking lot was flooded during a heavy rain storm in September and October and that the cause was stormwater runoff from a new apartment tower next door called Hale Mahana. The private road between the tower and the market has no storm drains and is owned by the landlord of Kokua Market, The Malulani Group. Some of the stormwater is shown exiting from drain pipes coming out of the Hale Mahana tower.
